Engage in your global health community

We are developing opportunities to increase information sharing and collaboration across disciplines.

Across DGSOM and the broader UCLA community, faculty and staff are engaging in important global health clinical service, research, education, and training.

We value these activities and our broad community of colleagues in global health and have developed opportunities to increase information sharing and collaboration across disciplines. Our annual convening and networking event, for example, will assist in disseminating information about global health projects, encourage faculty to network and leverage existing activities, and provide a forum to share updates from our program as we continue to develop new strategies to support faculty and staff.

Additional resources and opportunities include a Travel Grant Program, a Global Health Seed Grant Program, and a Mentor Award Program to contribute to research costs that support medical student projects.

"The challenges are multiple, the setbacks frequent, and the way forward often uncertain, but these all become strong motivators when you refuse to accept inequities and commit to help improve the health and well-being of those in need around the world."
- Chris Buck, MD, MPH, Pediatrics
